Edmunds.com has announced that the 2010 model Tundra will feature a 4.5L diesel engine as an option. Provided some rough fuel economy
and performance numbers.
Estimated hp: 300 @ 3500 RPM
Estimated torque: 500
lb-ft @ 1600 RPM
Estimated MPG
: 22 MPG (both city and highway)
Edmunds.com also announced that the HD Tundra will debut in 2011 or 2012, and that it will feature a 7.0L diesel. We were unable to confirm this. Frankly, it seems a little optimistic considering the current market. Still, it's intriguing information.
