2011 Toyota Diesel Dually Coming Soon to USA
Edmunds.com has announced that the 2010 model Tundra will feature a 4.5L diesel engine as an option. Provided some rough fuel economy and performance numbers.
Estimated hp: 300 @ 3500 RPM
Estimated torque: 500 lb-ft @ 1600 RPM
Estimated MPG: 22 MPG (both city and highway)
Edmunds.com also announced that the HD Tundra will debut in 2011 or 2012, and that it will feature a 7.0L diesel. We were unable to confirm this. Frankly, it seems a little optimistic considering the current market. Still, it's intriguing information.
You can learn more about the 4.5L in our story, as well as see a video of the engine here:
4.5L Diesel Tundra Confirmed, Bigger Diesel Coming? | tundraheadquarters.com
Our best guess is that the new 4.5L diesel will cost an extra $5k to $6k, which means a new Tundra Limited Crew 4x4 with the diesel may cost as much as $50k!
Exciting times - the Tundra diesel is coming soon!

2012 Mustang Boss 302
The Boss returns! Limited production 2012 MustangBoss 302 set to become the quickest, best-handling straight-production Mustang ever offered by Ford, based on the world-class foundation provided by the 2011 Mustang GT.
Led by Mike Harrison, the V8 engine team approached Boss from the top down: With 412 horsepower from 5.0 liters, the 2011 GT engine was already an incredible performer. But to achieve the high-rpm horsepower that would make the engine competitive on the track, a new intake was essential. The resulting runners-in-the-box plenum/velocity stack combination the engine team developed was impressive enough that it got the green light after one short drive.

Most Cars Per Capita
While it's a little surprise that the United States has the most cars per capita, the actual ratio is still pretty surprising. Specifically, the United States boasts the most motor vehicles per person, with 765 cars for every 1,000 people in the country. Rounding out the rest of the top 5 countries:
- Luxembourg - 686
- Malaysia - 641
- Australia - 619
- Malta - 607
5 Things Your Car Should Say About You
A top Mercedes talks of a high powered and driven individual. A boy racer cover in stickers suggests learning difficulties.
You don’t have to own the most expensive car on the road, but here are five qualities your ride should say about you.
Style
A great looking car is like a beautiful woman. They turn heads and make every guy in the room (or in this case on the road) jealous with envy.
But it all comes to nothing if the man behind the wheel is unshaven and doesn’t use an iron, let alone own one.
Looking after your appearances doesn’t take much effort and the results are huge. Not only do you feel more confident as a person, everyone around you will respect you for it.
Power
A powerful car is going places, and so is the owner.
There is something incredibly exciting about powerful cars. Maybe it’s the roar of the engine, or the knowledge that putting your foot down will leave those around you in the dust.
Being powerful, and being around powerful people, is a thrilling experience. Powerful people are normally confident risk takers and prove to be very interesting company.
Fill your life with proactive people who are constantly empowering themselves and you’ll find that, as a person, you will grow considerably. They will challenge and test you, and you’ll be all the better for it.
Integrity
The most important quality of any car is the knowledge that every time you turn the key, the engine will start.
There is nothing more stressful or irritating then an unreliable car, the same goes for people.
If people know you will deliver on your promises time and time again they will love you for it.
Having integrity is important in all walks of life, from your career to your relationships and down to the knowledge that at the end of the day you can rely on yourself.
Confidence
Some cars just ooze confidence.
They’re powerful, stylish, over deliver every time and they dam well know it.
Being confident is such an admired trait, because it is so rare. Confident people are 1 in a 100 and they often provoke jealosy and admiration because they have something that everyone wants, yet is in such short supply.
No matter your job or income, if you know that you’re a good a person who tries to better themselves on a regular basis, you have every right to be confident.
Ambition
The mark of every great car, and person, is ambition.
Both are willing to take risks, try something new and push themselves to the limit.
They are often goal orientated, driven and know what they want from life.
This doesn’t necessarily mean being the fastest car on the road or climbing the corporate ladder. It means you are willing to push yourself, be constantly learning and stick to your beliefs.
In many ways without ambition, all of the other qualities listed here, will suffer.
2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible
The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro includes an enhanced body structure and well-tailored top mechanism a combination designed to deliver sports coupe like driving fun and precise quality.
The convertible will be offered in a similar model as the Camaro coupe. The standard model will have a 312-horsepower direct injection V-6 engine giving us 29 mpg highway. The SS model will feature the 6.2L V-8 engine producing 426 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission will be standard, with an optional six-speed automatic.
Camaro convertible is offered in 1LT/2LT (V-6) and 1SS/2SS (V-8) trim packages and priced from $30,000 and up. Nine exterior colors are available, with tops offered in black or tan. Rear parking assist is standard on all convertible models.
Levels of Stress
You pick up a hitch hiker, a beautiful young girl. Suddenly she faints inside your car and you take her to the hospital.
Now that's stressful.
But at the hospital, they say she is pregnant and congratulate you that you are going to be a father.
You say that you are not the father but the girl says you are.
This is getting very stressful.
So then... you request a DNA test to prove that you are not the father.
After the tests are completed, the doctor says you are infertile, and probably have been since birth.
You are extremely stressed but relieved.
On your way home, you think about your 3 kids.
NOW THAT'S STRESS!

2012 Nissan GT-R Better then Before
Entering its fourth year of production in the North American market, the 2012 Nissan GT-R has a new look, new colors, new wheel design and, most important to the fans of pure power, more horsepower under the hood.
The aerodynamics have been improved for 2012 with down force increased by about 10% and drag reduced to 0.26 (from 0.27). Stability is improved by enlarged fascia and grille openings, which also help reduce air resistance inside the engine compartment. The volume of air that passes through the radiator and cools the front brakes is also increased.

How the Bugatti Veyron Works
Found this cool article on How Stuff Works about the Bugatti Veyron.
How would you define the most amazing production car in the world? Would it be:
- The car with the most horsepower?
- The car with the fastest top speed and acceleration?
- The most expensive car?
At the moment, the Bugatti Veyron appears to have it all:
- A W-16 engine that can produce 1,001 horsepower
- A top speed of 250+ mph (400+ kph)
- A zero-to-60 time of three seconds
- A zero-to-180 time of 14 seconds
- A price tag somewhere in the $1.2 million range.
In this article, we will take an in-depth look at this amazing automobile and see how it is possible to fit so much performance into a single machine. It all starts with the engine...
The Bugatti Veyron is a car built around an engine. Essentially, Bugatti made the decision to blow the doors off the supercar world by creating a 1,000-horsepower engine. Everything else follows from that resolution.
So let's start with the engine. How would you begin the design process for an engine this powerful? If you have read How Car Engines Work, you know that if you want to create a 1,000-horsepower engine, it has to be able to burn enough gasoline to generate 1,000 horsepower. That works out to about 1.33 gallons (5 liters) of gasoline per minute.
We need a 16-liter engine to burn 1.33 gallons of gas per minute. That actually makes sense -- the engine in the DodgeViper is 8.0 liters in displacement and produces 500 hp.
But there's a problem: A 16-liter V-8 engine would be very large. And the pistons would be massive, so there would be no way it could turn at 6,000 rotations per minute (rpm). It might turn at a maximum of 2,000 rpm, meaning that you would need an immense 48-liter engine to generate 1,000 hp. Clearly an engine that big is impossible in a passenger car.
So how did Bugatti fit 1,000 horsepower into a passenger car? Find out on How Stuff Works.
2011 Honda Civic Si Dissapointed
First introduced in 2007 a year after the Civic platform was redesigned, the Civic Si has since received a only a hanful of minor updates, including revised wheels, headlamps, grilles and fog lamps.
Unlike its predecessors, the Si was made available in sedan form rather than only as a coupe. Slightly heavier than the two-door, the sedan shares the bulk of its mechanical and cosmetic features with its cousin.
Visually almost identical(which is not goot) to the standard Civic, the Si receives a special body kit and a rear spoiler, in addition to standard 17-inch alloy wheels (versus 15 or 16-inch wheels on other Civics). Equipped more or less like the Civic EX, the Si comes standard with a full array of power accessories, a moonroof, an AM/FM/CD audio system with an auxiliary input jack and a split-folding rear seat
The Civic Si's interior also doesn't deviate substantially from the EX, though it adds unique seats and upholstery, a sportier leather-wrapped steering wheel with radio controls, unique gauges and sports pedals. Otherwise, it follows the same space-age dashboard style that characterizes the rest of the Civic lineup.
Performance upgrades start with a sport suspension, a helical limited-slip front differential and uprated four-wheel disc brakes and a six-speed manual (one extra cog over the regular Civic) and top out with an extra 57 horsepower from the enlarged four-cylinder engine.
The 197-horse total approaches the coveted 100 horsepower per liter mark for the 2.0-liter, dual-overhead cam four-cylinder engine. That peak horsepower is achieved at a high 7,800 rpm, meaning drivers can expect to rev the Civic Si heavily to get the most out of its powertrain. Peak torque, at 139 lb-ft., is realized at an also-high 6,100 rpm. Tested performance 0-60mph 7 seconds flat.
No automatic transmission is available on the Civic Si. Only a 6 speed manual.
There are no factory options for the Civic Si; rather, the Japanese automaker offers the Civic in several packages that include high-performance summer tires (in place of all-season treads), a navigation system with Bluetooth capability, or a combination of the two.

Exclusive first drive in new Stratos supercar
A brilliant montage of the original Lancia Stratos in the heat of competition battle is playing on a big screen, backed by some great period rock tunes. One of the most successful rally cars of the 1970s, the Stratos is one of those cars that exerts a magical hold over the people who lived through its imperial period, and for many beyond that too. Just 492 were made, and it was conceived purely as a pretty terrifying competition weapon. It is, to use an over-used word, a legend.
Now it's back. To the strains of Rolling Stones classic 'You Can't Always Get What You Want', it's obvious that for German businessman and Stratos enthusiast Michael Stoschek, sometimes you can get exactly what you want. Read the whole article here ---> Top Gear

2011 Audi A6 and a little History about the A6
The Audi A6 is a luxrury sedan offered in the U.S. since the mid 90's. Before it adopted its current name, the car was named Audi 500 and also was known as the Audi 100 and Audi 200 for a short time. Though it's typically front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive is available, the Audi A6 competes against other rear wheel drive cars like the Mercedes-Benz E Class, the BMW 5 Series, the Infinit M37 and M56, and the Cadillac STS.
The first American market A6 arrived in showrooms as a 1995 model. In that generation, the A6 name merely moved to the existing Audi 100 chassis with a light facelift. A more distinct new A6 arrived in 1998, both in sedan and wagon forms. Again offered with a choice of four-cylinder and six-cylinder engines, the A6 also had front-wheel drive, available quattro all-wheel drive, and a choice of manual and automatic transmissions, along with new features like stability control, side airbags and a navigation system.
